Confused about source templates? Come for a first look at how the choice of a template affects the creation of source entries in FTM and the citations subsequently linked to them.
Family Tree Maker utilizes over 170 templates that are based on QuickCheck models by Elizabeth Shown Mills. At the session, one census record will be sourced several times using different templates - including the FTM default, several census group templates and also the results from FTM’s Web Search feature. The resulting source titles and citations will be compared and evaluated.

Bonus topic 2: basics of using fillable PDF genealogy forms.
The meeting is open to the public; attendees do not need to be members of SCGS.
