SCGS Family Tree Maker Software User Group – Meeting Notice, March 10, 2013

Are you acquainted with Mr. Ahnentafel?

Come and find out as we delve into FTM’s two genealogy reports – Ahnentafel and Descendants.
•    What are the differences between these genealogy reports and other FTM reports?
•    What are the similarities with the charts we looked at previously?
•    Are you confused about various genealogical numbering systems?
Join us as we explore these issues.

Besides focusing on the two genealogy reports, we will take a look at the options which are common to Family Tree Maker reports in general within the Publishing workspace.

We will revisit the basics of how FTM handles facts – including their types and management, and conclude with a demonstration case of how a custom fact can provide a solution to linking evidence for the “begat question”, something FTM cannot natively handle!  (The “begat question”?  (You know – “Abraham begat Isaac, Isaac begat Jacob, etc.”)

For questions, contact Dick Humphrey at rlh1335@gmail.com.
