SCGS RootsMagic User Group - December 19

The next meeting of the SCGS RootsMagic User Group will be held on Sunday. December 19, at the usual time and place:

Date: Sunday, December 19, 2010
Time: 2-4 PM
Place: SCGS Library
417 Irving Drive (near Glenoaks) in Burbank

Program - At our December meeting we will review how to install and use Jennifer Shaw's modified template for US censuses and a template for FindAGrave.  These templates can be used to document sources for events in your database. If you are not able to make it to the December meeting, you can view Jennifer's presentation on citing a federal census using her template at this URL:
http://www.slideshare.net/faeriejem/how-to-cite-a-federal-census-online-image-using-rm4
This is the material she presented at our November meeting.

We will also have help available for RootsMagic beginners covering the basics such as setting up a database, data entry, and importing data.

As always at our meetings, contributions by attendees are encouraged - bring your questions and recent discoveries about RM to share with the group. You are also invited to email me suggestions for topics to be covered at this or future meetings.

Special Holiday Offer - Don't forget that RootsMagic has a special holiday offer: the program and the book for only $20.00 (plus S & H). This is the full program on CD plus the very helpful user manual. A great opportunity to give this combination to a family member or friend who is looking for a database program. Remember, this offer ends December 22.
